Leading the way to productive play.
Tony Walsh, Founding Director of Phantom Compass

Since discovering Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) back in 2003, Lindsay has immersed herself behind the scenes as a “Puppetmaster,” helping to create several successful grassroots games. With Phantom Compass, she is a key team member on Dionysian Dream, a 3D learning game about classical Greek drama.

In 2005, she spent five hectic months co-developing two ARGs--Wildfire Industries and Synagoga--designed to run concurrently but independently. Her contributions to the project included live voice acting, online character interaction, puzzle creation and website design. The eventual merging of the Wildfire and Synagoga narratives established a precedent in the evolution of the ARG genre.

Following the success of Wildfire Industries, Lindsay went on to running her own news and information website dedicated to goings on in the ARG world. She has been called upon by local and national media to comment on such buzz-worthy projects as the Regenesis Extended Reality Game and Perplex City.

In 2006 Lindsay became a team member for TorGame’s Waking City, an ARG designed to lure players away from their computers and onto Toronto’s streets. Using the city as their game board, players spent two weeks solving fiendish puzzles and uncovering Toronto's hidden secrets. In 2007, she became Game Director for TorGame, and in 2008, joined Phantom Compass.
